Membership

Public and private academic institutions can become members of the IPLI Consortium. Institutional membership offers access to IPLI services, IPLI web site, as well as limited technical support provided by the consortium. Individuals such as faculty, staff, or administrators who are interested in participating in conferences, seminars, best practices, or research in PLM may become members of the IPLI consortium.

1.IPLI membership is generally extended to a company as opposed to an individual.
2. Members representing the company are appointed for a three-year term.
3. In some cases, a company may appoint more than one member.
4. Upon completion of the membership term, the company may appoint a new individual to serve on the IPLI consortium in order to refresh interest and expand the community network or the company may request the same individual serve another sequential membership term.
5. If a member retires, changes employment, or must abandon representing the company for any reason during his/her term, the company should identify a replacement.
6. Companies that perceive no benefit in being a member of the IPLI and/or are not actively participating in IPLI activities may elect to terminate their membership at any time.
7. The School may terminate the membership of an organization if opportunity for a mutually beneficial relationship no longer exists.
8. If a member has no active affiliation with a company, the member may continue their IPLI membership as an individual member.
9. Active members who retire from their company and have demonstrated a record of strong participation in the IPLI may be requested to serve as an Emeritus IPLI member with reduced expectations for committee involvement and regular attendance at IPLI meetings.

The initial term of membership shall begin the day this agreement is executed and shall continue in force for one (1) year from the last day of the academic term in which the Effective Date falls ("Anniversary Date"). Thereafter, this Agreement shall automatically renew for successive one-year terms beginning on the Anniversary Date unless IPLI or the Provider notifies the Member 90 days prior to expiration of the then-current Renewal Term of their intent not to renew this Agreement, or in the event that Member notifies IPLI or the Provider of its intent not to renew the then-current term at least ninety (90) days prior to termination of the then-current Renewal Term. For all Renewal Terms, the Member agrees to pay an Annual Fee equal to the then-current applicable Initial Member Fee.
